One of the most hotly anticipated venues of the last year, Diecast, has officially opened its doors to the public. The new venue is the brainchild of the team behind Ramona and Firehouse at the opposite side of the Northern Quarter. The team have just opened phase one of the mammoth 250,000 sqft industrial bar and party venue, for comparison the size of Escape to Freight Islands food hall is just 55,000 sqft.
Phase one was the opening of Leno Ex-Machina. To launch the space, the team threw a four-day opening party that had all its tickets snapped up before you could say Leno Ex-Machina. The four-day event included some of the most Instagram-able pizzas and daquiris Manchester has to offer, and boy did those who went abide – you couldn’t escape them taking up your feed across the weekend.
The parties at Diecast will have you planning your next visit on the way out the door. With experience of throwing energetic and unique parties at Firehouse, the team have brought the same energy to Diecast. In a unique industrial setting, at times it feels like you’ve walked into Berlin’s Eastern Bloc. A truly unique experience with dancers on tops of bars and in overhead walkways, it’s not something Manchester necessarily needed but we are glad it’s here – go check it out!
You can keep up with the latest news about Diecast including events and announcements for other phase openings on its Instagram or website.
