FAQ’s
Can I rent the whole Quad apartment?
Technically yes, but you will need to pay for four separate room contracts as our apartments are designed on a rent-by-the-room basis.
What’s the difference between a Standard and a Large Quad room?
The Large Quad room has slightly more floor space than the Standard.
What appliances come with the communal area?
All Trio communal areas come fully furnished with a fitted kitchen diner. That includes a dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, and a 50” smart TV in your communal living room.
Is the bathroom shared?
Sharing is caring, but not when it comes to bathrooms. You’ll have your own private ensuite in your room.
What bills are included in my room rent?
No more “can you transfer me for water?” messages. All your bills are included in your monthly rent payment. That’s all your utilities, council tax, Wi-Fi, and even your TV license for the rooms that come with one.
What happens if a flatmate leaves our Quad apartment?
No need to worry. It’s our job to replace them with someone you’re likely to get on with. If you have a friend you’d already like to live with, they’ll get first dibs on the spare room. Just make sure to let our booking team know.
Will I get to meet my new flatmate before they move in?
No, not unless they’re already a mate of yours. But don’t worry, we’ll let you know when someone new is about to move in so you can welcome them (and free up the fridge space).
How was I matched with my flatmates?
Remember those questions you answered before moving in? That’s what we used to provide you with the different room options that best suited you. The match percentage score you saw was based around how much we think you’ll get on with the flatmates currently living in the apartment. If you saw a 0% score, that meant the apartment was empty at the time.
Can the furniture in the apartment be removed so I can bring my own?
Sorry, we can’t swap our own gear for yours. All rooms and apartments have been fully furnished for ultimate ease of moving and sharing. If there’s something you really want to keep hold of, speak to the team at the Front Desk about purchasing storage.
Does my bedroom have a lock?
Yes, your room is fully private. The bedrooms in all of our apartments have secure key fob entry.
Do I need a deposit?
Living at Union doesn’t require a deposit.
Are pets allowed?
You may be able to keep a small pet if you’re renting a full apartment/studio, and if you get a Pet Licence from us. Please check with your booking team.
How do I get parcels delivered?
Our reception team will collect and securely store parcels on your behalf. Just come down to collect it when you can. If you’re expecting a big delivery or you’ve scheduled a return collection, please be available for it.
How secure is Union?
We have multiple security measures in place to ensure your safety. That includes key fob-controlled entry points, a reception team, and CCTV monitoring throughout the building and grounds.
Is Union wheelchair accessible?
Yes, Union is fully wheelchair accessible. All of our entrances are step-free, and there is an elevator up to all floors. We also have accessible studios available.
