Blacklock has taken London by storm since opening in 2015 with five restaurants in the capital. Now, Manchester is set to get the first Blacklock outside of London.
Blacklock has secured itself a prime spot in the heart of the city on Peter Street. Sitting snug in the basement of a Grade II listed former textile factory, the team have been working hard to reveal original brickwork and factory beams to make it the ultimate cosy setting for a date night.
Blacklock promises to bring a modern take on the traditional British Chop House whilst championing local produce and Northern suppliers. Blacklock offers a range of chops and steaks cooked over charcoal, alongside cocktails that follow a pip to peel philosophy and wines on tap alongside a classic 80s soundtrack.
Highlights from the menu include a variety of ‘Big Chops’ which are said to be ‘doorstop thick’ for two to share. You can choose from different beef cuttings or lamb. Whilst for those who can’t decide, their ‘ALL IN’ includes some pre chop bites, a heady mix of beef, pork and lamb skinny chops piled high with a choice of side.
If the food menu looks good, take a look at the cocktails, with twists on all the classics; highlights include a Summer Negroni which adds pomegranate where bitter meets sweet, Watermelon Margarita and Lemon Drop Collins.
Blacklock is a welcome addition to the Manchester food scene and is set to offer some of the best chops in the city. What’s more, you can get 50% off during its soft launch starting 20 September by clicking here.
