Friends + Benefits Promotion Terms & Conditions

 

This promotion is managed and operated by Union Manchester (East and West) Management Limited (“Union”) on behalf of the relevant building landlord / licensor.

1. Union is offering a rental discount to reward you for referring a friend who enters into a tenancy or licence agreement and takes up occupation at Union East or West (“Friends + Benefits Promotion”).
2. The rental discount is equal to 2 weeks rent or licence fee for each of you and the friend you refer (“Rental Discount”).

 

Eligibility criteria for participating in the Friends + Benefits Promotion

3. To be eligible to participate in this Friends + Benefits Promotion you must:
   • be a current resident at Union East or West; and
   • be up to date with all rent or licence fee payments; and
   • not be in breach of your tenancy or licence agreement or the Union House Rules; and
   • refer a person who (i) is eligible to stay at Union and is not a full-time undergraduate student and (ii) who wishes to book a room at a Union East or Union West; and
   • have met the person you are referring prior to that person attending any viewing at Union East or West; and
   • have made us aware of your referral prior to the person you have referred attending a viewing of a Union building (this notification may be given by you or by the person being referred).
4. For the person you refer to be eligible they must:
   • not be a full-time undergraduate student; and
   • not hold or have ever held a tenancy or licence agreement at Union East or Union West; and
   • book for an occupancy period of at least 9 months; and
   • not already be active on our client base at the time they are referred to us and not have previously attended a viewing at Union East or West; and
   • have made us aware of the fact they have been referred to Union and provide the name of referrer before attending a viewing of a Union building.

Eligibility for claiming the Rental Discount

5. You and the person you refer will be eligible to receive the Rental Discount when the following conditions are met:
   • Union has confirmed that the Eligibility Criteria set out at clause 3 and 4 above have been met; and
   • each of you and the friend you have referred have notified Union that you want to claim this reward within 30 days after the occupancy start date of your referred friend’s tenancy or licence agreement. After the expiry of 30 days after this date, the reward will no longer be available and all rights to claim the reward are forfeited by you and the referred friend; and
   • both you and your referred friend are in occupation of the rooms under your respective tenancy /licence agreements in Union East or Union West; and
   • all payments due to date under your respective tenancy/licence agreements have been made.
6. Union will determine at its sole discretion when and in what manner any successfully achieved and claimed Rental Discount is applied to you and your referred friend.

Additional terms

7. A resident can only refer a maximum number of three (3) people in any 12-month period to Union under this promotion.
8. This Friends + Benefits Promotion cannot be applied in conjunction with any other Union promotion. Residents cannot benefit from more than one promotion during the term of their occupancy agreement.
9. This Friends + Benefits Promotion is only available for the person making the referral and the person being referred and is non-transferable.
10. This Friends + Benefits Promotion is not a cashback offer but is a discount on your monthly rent or licence fee.
11. The decision to offer this Friends + Benefits Promotion is at the absolute discretion of Union and is subject to availability. Union reserves the right to amend, terminate or withdraw this promotional offer at any time without notice or liability to you or any person you may refer to Union.
