1. The promoter is: UNION MANCHESTER (EAST AND WEST) MANAGEMENT LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales with company no. 13561143, whose registered office is at Horseshoe Farm, Elkington Way, Alderley Edge, England, SK9 7GU (“Union”).
2. The prize draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
3. Union is working in collaboration with (i) local Manchester community group “Girls in the City” (ii) House of Social Foodhall in Manchester, (iii) Mollie’s Motels in Manchester in relation to this prize draw.
4. To be eligible to enter the prize draw entrants must:
a) be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry;
b) be a resident of the United Kingdom;
c) not be an employee of Union, House of Social, Girls in the City, Mollie’s Motels or an employee of any company affiliated with Union, House of Social, Girls in the City or Mollie’s Motels; and
d) be able to comply with the Prize Conditions (defined at clause 12 below) if successfully drawn as the winner of the prize draw.
5. To enter the prize draw, eligible entrants must complete each and all of the following entry requirements. Eligible entrants must:
a) “Follow” each of the following Instagram handles relating to Union, Girls in the City and House of Social:
- @unionmcr;
- @girlsinthecity
- @houseofsocial;
b) “Like” the post shared by Union announcing the prize draw and collaboration with Girls in the City and House of Social (“Collab Post”); and
c)“Tag” one (1) friend in a single comment on the Collab Post.
d) By entering this prize draw, each entrant is deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Union reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
7. The opening date for entries is 13:00 on 21st July 2026. The closing date of the prize draw will be 9:00am on 24th July 2026. Entries received after this time will not be considered. No responsibility is accepted for entries not received for any reason or any entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault of any kind.
8. Entrants may enter the prize draw multiple times by commenting multiple times on the Collab Post. In each comment, an entrant must “tag” one different friend to any previous comment. Duplicate comments will not result in the entrant obtaining an additional entry into the prize draw and multiple duplicate entries may cause you to be disqualified.
9. Subject always to the Prize Conditions (defined below), a winner will be chosen by random draw performed by a computer process within five (5) days after the closing date.
10. There will be one (1) winner in total for this promotion.
11. The prize consists of the following items only:
a) a one (1) night stay for the winner plus up to three (3) chosen friends (together the “Winning Group”) in a Union Co-Living (Quad) Apartment from 1st August 2026 to 2nd August 2026;
b) a complimentary dinner, with complimentary drinks (served in accordance with applicable licensing laws and House of Social’s policies), at House of Social Foodhall in Manchester up to the total aggregate value of £200;
c) a round of welcome drinks at BASE, the Union resident bar. The round of drinks will consist of one drink per member of the Winning Group. Each member of the Winning Group may select:
i. a soft drink of choice from the available menu; or
ii. a cocktail of choice from the available menu, or
alternatively, the Winning Group may select one bottle of house prosecco to share amongst them; and
d) a Union branded “goodie bag” for each member of the Winning Group,
(each item above together being the “Prize Package”).
12. In addition to the Prize Package set out above:
a) Girls in the City may also offer the opportunity for the Winning Group to take part in certain activities hosted by Girls in the City. The availability of such activities is subject to the sole discretion of Girls in the City and to its own separate terms and conditions for partaking in any such activities, and Union makes no offer or commitment (and assumes no responsibility or liability) for such activities which will occur entirely under a separate contract between the winner and Girls in the City; and
b) Mollie’s Motels may also offer a complimentary brunch at Mollie’s Diner in Manchester (operated by Mollie’s Motels). The availability of any such offer is subject to the sole discretion of Mollie’s Motels and to its own separate terms and conditions in relation to any such offer, and Union makes no offer or commitment (and assumes no responsibility or liability) for any such offer which will occur entirely under a separate contract between the winner and Mollie’s Motels.
13. The Prize Package does not include travel, parking, accommodation beyond the one-night stay, spending money, insurance or any other costs not expressly stated.
14. Receipt of the Prize Package by the winner is subject to the following conditions (the “Prize Conditions”):
a) each member of the Winning Group being available for the overnight stay on 1st August – 2nd August 2026;
b) each member of the Winning Group being at least 18 years old;
c) the Winning Group consisting of the winner and between one (1) and three (3) chosen friends, so that the Winning Group comprises a minimum of two (2) people and a maximum of four (4) people in total. The Winning Group does not have to include the three friends “tagged” in the winning entry;
d) each member of the Winning Group signing and accepting Union’s terms and conditions for the overnight stay (“Terms and Conditions of Stay”). The Terms and Conditions of Stay will be provided to the Winning Group to review and accept following notification of winning and prior to arrival; and
e) each member of the Winning Group agreeing to document their stay at Union in line with the content expectations set out below (at paragraph 20) and in the Terms and Conditions of Stay (“Prize Experience Content”) and granting permission for Union to use the Prize Experience Content on its website and across its social media platforms; and
f) If any member of the Winning Group fails to satisfy the Prize Conditions, Union may require the winner to nominate an alternative participant or may withdraw the Prize Package.
16. The apartment to be occupied as part of the Prize Package will be allocated at by Union in its sole discretion. The winner is not permitted to “choose” an apartment.
17. The Prize Package will be as stated, and no cash alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable by the winner and is subject to availability. Union reserves the right to substitute the Prize Package or any element of it with a prize of equal or greater value where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
18. The winner will be notified by Friday 24th July by Instagram story tag AND Instagram direct message. If the chosen winner wishes to accept the Prize Package, Union will assess whether the winner has satisfied each of the Prize Conditions.
19. If the winner (i) cannot be contacted or (ii) does not claim the prize within five (5) days after being notified or (iii) fails to meet any of the Prize Conditions, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and Union reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and draw a replacement winner in accordance with the process described above.
20. The Winning Group shall participate in reasonable promotional activities relating to the Prize Package and producing the Prize Experience Content, including the creation of photographic and video content for Union’s social media channels and website, using both their own devices and single use film cameras provided by Union. Such content may also by shared by the collaborators to the prize draw. The Winning Group will be provided with further details about Union, its collaborators and the content expectations once the winner been notified and the Winning Group has been identified. The Winning Group will also be encouraged to share their experiences via their own social media platforms, and any content the WinningGroup post on Instagram related to the Prize Package should tag: @unionmcr and @girlsinthecity and be shareable by Union and its collaborators.
21. Personal data supplied during the course of this Prize Draw promotion will only be processed as set out in our Privacy Policy: https://liveunion.com/privacy-policy/ By entering the prize draw, the entrant consents to their details being used in this way.
22. Union (as the promoter of this competition) is required to either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Union may either publish or make available certain information about prize winners (including the name and location of prize winners). If you object to this information being published or made available, please contact Union at marketing@liveunion.com. In such circumstances, Union must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
23. Union reserves the right to hold, void, cancel, suspend or amend the prize draw promotion at any time prior to the closing date of the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
24. Union shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions at any time prior to the closing date of the prize draw by publishing any such modification or termination on https://liveunion.com/union-survey-terms-conditions/, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
25. Union’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the prize draw shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
26. Union reserves the right to promote this prize draw on Instagram, subject to the terms and conditions governing the use of the aforementioned platforms. You acknowledge that:
a) the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram; and
b) Instagram will not be responsible or liable for this promotion or any aspect of it.
27. Insofar as is permitted by law, Union, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Union its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
28. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
