One of Manchester’s most prominent chefs Mary-Ellen McTague has just announced she’s launching her new low-waste restaurant Pip at the new Treehouse Hotel.
Mary-Ellen has an impressive track record, from sous chef at Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck and finalist on BBC’s Great British Menu to curating events at Manchester International Festival and co-founding Manchester charity Eat Well MCR to name but a few.
Her next venture is an exciting one, a place where diners can enjoy an innovative and conscientious all day menu. Pip is set to launch this summer with a menu that celebrates locally sourced ingredients in the new botanical themed hotel.
Expect local favourites like a Lancashire hotpot with pickled red cabbage and a twist by adding oyster ketchup to adventurous must-tries of Carlingford oysters with fennel kimchi liquor.
Make sure you add this place to your late summer restaurant shortlist and look out for announcements, as we expect bookings to fill up rapidly when they open.
