EURO 2024 is just around the corner, and while there are no guarantees about the nation’s success this summer, one thing is for sure, Manchester has some great spots to watch the euros. Here’s our pick of the five best places to watch the Euros.
The Crown and Kettle, located on Oldham Road near to the city centre is a great place to catch the games. They have screens inside and out so hot weather is only a plus, and they have not only great drinks, but a selection of delicious home-cooked food on offer to keep you going throughout the day.
The Oast House in Spinningfields is another brilliant spot to watch the football in the sun, boasting a massive outdoor screen within their vast courtyard, there’s no chance of you being unable to see the telly here. To watch England games here though, you do have to book, but for £15 you receive a complimentary drink and are invited in to one of the best atmospheres for football in the centre of the city.
BOX on Deansgate is a ‘game changing sports bar and kitchen’ boasting 25 screens and a variety of mouth-watering food items, offering 2-for-1 cocktails and live music Thursday-Saturday. They suggest booking in advance for inside tables during the tournament and have a number of outside tables available on a first come first serve basis.
Almost Famous has a number of Manchester locations, with the Great Northern and Withington locations both committing to showing every match of EURO 2024, meaning there are plenty of places to catch a game. They have some of the best burgers in the city and are offering £3.50 pints, £12.50 pitchers and 2 for £10 cocktails during the tournament.
The Deansgate is a landmark pub in Manchester, having occupied the same spot for over 200 years. They are showing every single game of this tournament and have a variety of screens, food and drink to suit everyone. They again recommend that you book in advance, but walk-ins are available, so even if you decide on the day, there’s still a good chance of you being able to see some goals in one of the city’s oldest boozers.
