We can’t believe its been a week already, but no matter if you went to Glastonbury or just lived it through the BBC, we’re sure you’ve got the blues. To make things a little easier, we’ve scoured through this week’s new releases and here are our top to add to your playlist.
First up we have Kasabian, who have just today announced they will be playing at the Co-op Live Arena this November. Their new track is called Italian Horror, its Kasabian at their best and will no doubt have you in the queue for tickets when they go on sale. Stay tuned on the Co-op Live website on 10 July.
Next up is a track that will undoubtedly be played at beach clubs in Spain, Greece and Portugal all summer long. The perfect summer song is called Lift You Up by Romy and Jessie Ware. Get it added to your playlist.
A culturally relevant song from Seb Lowe makes the list. The Oldham-born singer-songwriter has just released 5168 Days which is a reference to how long the Tory’s have been in power. An informative song that’s worth a listen.
Odeal has just released Soh-Soh, an easy listening afrobeat-RnB song for those of you having a chilled weekend. Odeal is touring over the autumn, and with only two UK dates we are lucky to get one in Manchester. He is playing at Gorilla on 20 November.
Finally, we have Oppidan and Frisco. Fresh and New is their latest tune that has an upbeat vibe with a garage beat. Definitely one that will get you weekend ready.
