Ancoats Deli opens on Jersey Street in Ancoats

A brand-new deli has arrived in Manchester this summer, stocking a range of pantry essentials, drinks, fresh sandwiches and more.

Ancoats Deli, which will is located on Ancoats’ second courtyard and hidden suntrap, just off Murray Street between Redhill Street and Jersey Street, promises to be an affordable way to grab a bite to eat with sandwiches starting at £7.50, and a £10 meal deal that includes that plus a coffee and a bag of crisps or takeout olives.

It also offers cheese and Charcuterie boards, designed for sharing, accompanied by wines to pair them with. Both of these will be provided by local businesses The Crafty Cheeseman & Yap Bros with the wine starting at £5.20 per glass.

The community spirit does not stop there though, with the bread for the aforementioned sarnies will be provided by the deli’s bakery neighbour Companio, meaning such favourites as the Jambon Beurre and Reuben with Pastrami will be on offer.

The deli also offers takeaway cocktails, alongside their wines, with seats available inside and outside of the venue, aiming to improve the options for al fresco dining within the city with their multitude of takeout meat and cheese boxes specifically designed for picnics.

We just hope that the sun sticks around long enough to make use of this hidden Manchester suntrap.
