As Manchester City Council are not hosting any public bonfire celebrations this year, here are some other ways to make sure your night goes out with a bang.
Mayfield Park
Freight Island and Mayfield Park are lighting up our skies across 1-3 November. They are teaming up with Walk the Plank, the UK’s leading creators of outdoor spectacles, to host a spectacular 10-minute firework display across the three dates.
Doors open at 5.30pm with the show set to start at 6.30pm, whilst Saturday will have an additional late slot from 7.30pm with the show starting at 8.30pm. Tickets start from £12 for adults.
20 Stories
Manchester’s highest public bar is setting up its own firework viewing area set up on the terrace. They will provide the blankets and all your autumn faves will be on offer, including toffee apples and hot chocolates. 20 Stories will give guests the perfect view of Town Hall and the lit-up city sky.
Bookings are now being taken so reserve your place nowand watch the night with a drink in your hand relaxing. Who needs a bonfire when you have a patio heater anyway.
Lancashire Mining Museum
On Saturday 2 November, the museum will be transforming for bonfire night with a special performance by Wigan Ukelele Group.
Starting at just £7.50 for adult tickets, it is hosted at Astley Green near Worlsey and will be serving up hot food from a variety of vendors, heritage rides, and a bar. Gates open at 6pm and tickets can be purchased here.
Woodhouses Cricket Club
If the last ones too far for you, enjoy bonfire night on Saturday 2 November, just a 20-minute tram ride from Manchester centre. Woodhouse Cricket Club in Failsworth will be hosting a bonfire night spectacular with a twist. There will be a Guy Fawkes competition at 6.15pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the main firework display will take place at 7.45pm. There will also be fairground rides, an array of food vendors, and live music on offer.
Gates open at 5pm and tickets start at just £8.
Buile Hill Park Salford
On Saturday 2 November, there will be a free display of fireworks, fire walks, funfair rides and marshmallow toasting, so the only money you have to worry about spending is on the fun things.
Salford Council are pulling out all the stocks, and their biggest display to date this Bonfire night is definitely not one to be missed.
