Manchester’s Companio bakery has become a staple in the city, so much so that owners have opened a second location.
The shop, renowned for its to die for croissants and sourdough bread, first opened in Ancoats back in 2019. Now, five years later, with their team of two extending to a team of 11, Companio’s popularity forced the opening of a second location in one of the city’s hot spots, on the corner of Spear Street and Warwick Street.
The bakery ensures all of its bakes are packed with natural ingredients, with highlights from the menu being its maritozzi’s, semla’s and its classic butter croissants. The new Norther Quarter addition has only been open a couple weeks but has proved to be just as popular as the original, with queues out the door and 16k followers on the gram to prove it.
The Northern Quarter store will be stocking much loved pastries, breads and viennoserie bakes, and will be open 8am – 3pm Tuesday – Thursday, 8am – 2pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 8am – 12pm on Sundays.
