Perhaps it had an incidental rise in popularity following LMFAO’s Party Rock anthem, or maybe people just can’t get enough of it on a night out, but it seems cool places to hang out in the city can’t exist without a shuffleboard in them these days. And now, the team behind Flight Club is opening a new venue dedicated shuffleboard in June.
Electric Shuffle is billed as THE spot for the “addictive and high-energy” game that is “built for friends by friends” and promises to supercharge the game of shuffleboard forever more.
Situated on Deansgate, the Manchester bar will be the biggest Electric Shuffle venue in the UK with 15 play spaces able to hold up to 450 people. With opening Electric Shuffle already open in Leeds proving incredibly popular the Manchester venue promises an “industrial-art-deco vibe that oozes retro glamour.”
The electric tables can up to 32 players at playing at once, games include having to land the puck as close to a target or at the furthest end to get the highest score, and cameras will capture and share replays.
A food menu that includes chicken bites, cauliflower wings, loaded fries and sourdough pizzas will be a hit with gamers and can be washed down with Trophy cocktails including Salted Caramel Euphoria, a take on the espresso martini which sounds pretty delightful.
Tickets start from £35 which includes an hour of shuffleboarding and an hour for drinks and pizza. From date nights to late nights, Electric Shuffle will no doubt quickly become one of Manchester’s go-to places. Expect a lot of neon and vintage electronics.
