Festa Italiana is Manchester’s free Italian food and drink festival returning for the seventh year. The festival is the brainchild of Maurizio Cecco, the owner of the much-loved Neapolitan restaurant Salvi’s.
Maurizio’s aim was to bring together the large Italian community of Manchester and showcase to Mancs what his homeland has to offer (as if we ever needed reminding).
The festival, which is taking place in Cathedral Gardens, is inspired by traditional Italian festivals and is all about the community coming together to socialise, enjoy food and drink and listen to live music.
Some of the best traders from across Manchester including Proove, Pasta Factory, Conni’s Focacceria and T’Arricrii will all be making their way down to Cathedral Gardens serving up the most mouth-watering Italian grub you have ever seen.
There are also several free cookery masterclasses that will be available from some of the best Italian chefs around, but you will have to be fast as they run on a first come first served basis.
This free festival is taking place in the city on the 23-25th of August and begins at 12pm each day, so if you’re looking for something to fill your bank holiday weekend, then look no further. Click here for more details on Festa Italiana.
