music released on 19 January featuring Noah Kahan and Sam Fender

Temperatures across Manchester have been beyond freezing this week, and luckily we’ve picked out a host of heaters to warm up the party, which means keeping warm will be easy. To help you sort through the sheer number of fresh tunes released, we’ve picked out our favourite five records to add to your playlist.

Noah Kahan has had an incredibly successful 2023 with his record Stick Season being one of the best of the year, and it looks like his 2024 is going to stack up just as well. He has re-released Homesick, but this time collabing with the hugely popular Geordie, Sam Fender.

One of those bangers that will undoubtedly have you dancing round your kitchen when escaping the cold this weekend is APRE’s Is This The Real World. A song that immediately transports you back to the 80’s when the synthesizer kicks in, definitely worth a listen.

Brixton-born Sneakbo has an impressive background having already worked with some of the biggest stars in the grime scene like Giggs and Krept & Konan. He is back with his second release of 2024, and a bit of a switch up from the high-tempo release of The Wave last week, 1992 is a more chilled rap tune and one that must be added to your playlist.

Sammy Virji is another artist that blew up in 2023, and the garage DJ is back with his first release of 2024. Moonlight is a Friday tune if we’ve ever heard one, this one will definitely gear you up for the weekend.

Finally, our last pick of the week goes to Adi Oasis and Sam Henshaw. This one is a vibe, give it a listen whilst booking your summer holiday because it will certainly get you looking forward to sunny days.
