U+Music – Five tracks to power your July playlists

The music industry has been busy this week with the likes of Will.i.am leading the conversation of how AI will affect the music industry, and award wins for Stormzy, Ray, Biffy Clyro and Gregory Porter at the O2 Silver Clef Awards. All whilst some major songs have been released, here’s five tracks released this week to add to your playlist.

First up is Taylor Swift who has just released her new album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and has been heavily predicted to headline Glastonbury 2024 on social media recently. The pick from the new album is I Can See You.

Changing it up a with a track full with music legends. Veteran jungle DJ Shy FX has teamed up with Kojey Radical and the iconic Nile Rodgers to release Good Morning. This song is just good vibes, the perfect tune to power your weekend playlist.

Having just played at Parklife and performed a surprise set at YES in Manchester on the same day, Skrillex’s new release will be played in raves across the country. His new eutrophic techno tune Fine Day Anthem has been made with Boys Noize. This one is for a Saturday night rather than a Sunday morning.

This roundup is full of legendary DJs and here’s another. DJ Seinfeld’s new tune with Confidence Man ‘Now U Do’ is an anthem for the summer. The song is built around strong vocals and samples Patti Austin’s 1977 release That’s Enough For Me, layered on a classic house beat. I dare you to not have ‘you never used to listen, now you do’ stuck in your head after listening to this one.

Finally, after making a quick cameo in last week’s Glastonbury roundup, Anne-Marie is here to take the limelight with her new song TRAINWRECK. A classic Anne-Marie pop song, in which she never disappoints. Strong vocals surrounding heartache and toxic relationships, which we can expect more of with her upcoming album UNHEALTHY set to be released on 28 July.
