It’s been an interesting week for music with the sad passing of DJ Casper, whose ‘Cha Cha Slide’ should be celebrated for powering family parties across the world for the last twenty+ years. So, whilst we remember that indulgent guilty pleasure for what it was, we take a look at five tracks for the week ahead.
First up we have a string of high-profile names collab’ing to create a perfect summer tune. SUPPOSED TO BE LOVED is the new tune by DJ Khaled, Future, Lil Baby and Lil Uzi Vert. The track features a background sample of Michael Jackson’s PYT, alongside each of the rapper’s trademark flows and ad libs.
Dusky’s new song isn’t one to be slept on. It comes complete with the duo’s usual hard house beat paired with a catchy sample that when brought together create unmissable track in Everything I Do.
To complete the list, we have Digga D, Façade and Potter Payper. This hard-hitting grime beat perfectly complements Digga D’s lyricism, whilst Payper’s gritty flow takes it to the next level.
