five songs of the week for your playlist

Hate them or love them, Christmas songs are now making their way onto the playlists of shops and radio, in this week’s five tracks to add to your playlists, we provide escapism, with five winter heaters.

Eliza Rose first blew up when she partnered with Manchester-based producer Interplanetary Criminal for B.O.T.A. Now, she has collaborated with world-famous DJ Calvin Harris to release Body Movin. This one is the perfect tune to get you weekend ready.

Manchester born-and-bred rapper Bugzy Malone has been pumping out song after song in 2023, and in our opinion Lean is the best of the lot. A strong beat with a seamless flow, what’s not to love?!

The Vaccines are up next. Their new album ‘Pick-Up Full of Pink Carnations’ is set to be released in January, they’ve released Lunar Eclipse, the second release for this hotly anticipated album. The Vaccines are also on tour from January, at the Manchester Academy on 6 February.

People across the country went wild for Myles Smith’s soulful cover of Sweater Weather. Now the singer songwriter is back with a new song called Solo. The perfect song for a rainy Sunday morning.

Finally, Dan Whitlam is an up and comer on the poetry/spoken word scene and gives us a real Loyle Carner feel with Button Up. A deep song that’s well worth a listen. If it’s your vibe, you can catch him on tour in February at YES.
