Gorilla, a venue that has seen famous names play over the years including Kylie Minogue, Blossoms and Sam Fender has announced its reopening. Gorilla shared the news on Twitter that it will reopen, and it isn’t going anywhere, anytime soon.
The venue took a brief hiatus and ‘temporary closure’ due to essential building work. It’s safe to say that its future looked unsafe at times with rumours speculating across Manchester as to whether it will reopen or not, following the cancellation of numerous gigs. We’re buzzing that they’ll be reopening and can’t wait to head down to check out their future gigs.
If music isn’t really your thing, we don’t believe that for a second, but if it isn’t then make sure you at least head down for the food, as we personally think it’s slept on. We used to love taking a break from our desk and heading down for a burger, so we’re glad we can do that again – love that for us.
Keep an eye out for more details on exact opening dates and gig announcements, we’ll see you down there!
