The team behind one of Manchester’s best restaurants, Another Hand, has now opened a new eatery in Exhibition. The concept is a ‘Persian bread kitchen’ and we’re buzzing to try it.
Without doubt, Another Hand on Deansgate Mews is one of the best spots for a fancy meal in Manchester, it can cost a pretty penny with some of its premium plates costing the best part of £30 and a single Hasselback potato setting you back £8 (although it is the best potato we have ever had).
The new concept, Jaan, is a lot more accessible. Expect to see a varied mix of dishes including beef tartare, grilled octopus and chermoula chicken. There’s also a snacks menu if you just want a quick bite which includes pickled Shetland mussels, whipped butterbeans and smoke aubergine.
Jaan is joining a stellar line-up of traders that are already in Exhibition, so you may have difficulty choosing out of this, Osma and Baratxuri.
We’re pretty confident this will be one of the tastiest openings of the year, so find yourself a mate or a date and check it out.
