Junction, a new eatery offering ‘locally sourced’ grub, opened its doors for the first-time last week, operating as a café and social workspace during the day, then turning into a bar in the evenings.
Situated on the steps leading to Manchester Central under the iconic arches, the menu will feature European breakfast dishes until 11am, swapping to their A La Carte menu from 12pm until late.
Liam Raynor, previously of The Lowry Theatre, will head up the kitchen as the head chef. He will lean into his specialty, a European cooking style offering up things like rare bread pork schnitzel, stone bass and salt fish croquettes. Dishes will also include locally sourced foods, such as Lancashire diamond cheese in their spin on the classic Mac ‘n’ Cheese.
By night you can find an extensive cocktail and drinks menu featuring all the classics. The menu will have a special signatures menu where highlights include the Departure 1969, Truffle Martini and The Cheshire Line.
Junction is open now, so make sure your grab your mates and head down for some next level European scran.
