Famed for having the ‘best pint of Guinness outside of Ireland’ Mulligans of Deansgate is an iconic Manchester institution which is often the busiest pub in the city on most given evenings.
While the ground floor of the boozer has stayed the same, with all brick walls and alcohol-branded mirrors, the usual Irish pub décor, there has been a new upstairs added which is said to more than double the boozer’s capacity.
This will come as a relief to punters who have happened to grace the venue on one of the frequently crowded nights there, as it means less queuing at the bar and therefore, more time to gulp down a delicious pint of the black stuff.
The work has finished at Mulligans, and the re-opening came hand-in-hand with some exclusive Mulligans merch for the lucky 250 first patrons in on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday- as well as a complementary pint of Guinness of course.
The upstairs has features previously unseen within the confines of the building, such as table service and the capacity for private functions.
So come and check it out, and if you’re a fan of all things Irish; the music, the drinks, and the décor, then head down over the weekend and be one of the first to explore this great boozer. It’s literally Dublin in size!
