A new weekend means only one thing, a new serving of records have been released to set the soundtrack for your bank holiday. This week’s list features up-and-commers as well as veteran artists that will transport you back to the 2010s, here the top five.
First up we start with veteran DJ duo Gorgon City. They’re back with a techno track called One New Change, perfect for pre-drinks before hitting town this weekend. If you fancy seeing it live, they’re playing Creamfields this summer and you just know it will go off when this one is spun.
One of the hottest rappers in the UK at the minute is without a doubt Meekz. The masked artist dropped his new album today and the best of the new tracks is Manny. Make sure you check out the music video too and do some location spotting just round the corner from Union in Castlefield.
Switching up the vibe to one of the best vocalists out of the UK, Rag N Bone Man has just released What Do You Believe In? He uses his distinct vocals in this gospel style pop record and we’re definitely not complaining.
Another veteran DJ duo, Groove Armada are back with a disco house tune. Kathy Brown is on the lyrics, putting a modern disco spin on Midway’s classic Set It Out track. It’s great to see Groove Armada back and has got us revisiting their classics Superstylin’, Suntoucher and I see you baby!
Finally, we have Bea and Her Business who sky rocketed to success after her breakthrough single in 2023. The new track is called Sunburnt Shoulders, and is definitely worth a listen and a playlist addition.
