The Trading Route is the collab that you didn’t know you needed. Trof, The Wandering Palate and Manchester Union Lager have joined forces to bring Manchester’s newest bar at Goods Yard.
Trof has been a Northern Quarter OG for years thanks to its modern takes on British classics like Full English breakfasts, Sunday Roasts and a variety of small plates. Whilst The Wandering Palate is a Monton-based bistro come shop and is a self-professed ‘purveyors of fine wines and indulgencies’. The final piece of The Trading Route puzzle is Manchester Union Lager which we are big fans of, and no doubt you will have seen their beer knocking around popular venues in town.
The three have combined to bring a new bar that overlooks the also new Factory International in the St John’s development. Inside the bar you can expect a combination of takeaway groceries, locally brewed beers and a rotisserie-style menu.
Goods Yard and the surrounding area is set to become one of the city’s most exciting areas in over the next year, with The Trading Route, Soho House, Factory International, Fenix (which is a new Greek concept by Tattu) and us at Union opening our doors soon – so we’ll see you in there for an afternoon pint!
The Trading Route will open later this Summer and we can’t wait to give it a go, we’ll update you on an exact date soon.
