The rumours seem to circle back around at least once a year, but this time it’s actually happening, Oasis have announced their united return to the big stage.
It’s been a massive 15 years since the brothers from Burnage broke up Oasis and we are finally happy to say they are back. Dropping the news two days before 30th anniversary of Definitely Maybe via social media posts, the lads have announced 12 UK dates with the promise of a world tour after.
And with respect for their homeland, Mancs have secured four of the dates all taking place at Heaton Park next year in July on 11, 12, 19 & 20, tickets will be in hot demand. Luckily the park holds 40,000+ people as seen at the Courteeners last gig, so you have a half-decent chance at grabbing one of the tickets on offer.
It’s an in-person only gig too, so if you’re an armchair fan, you’ll have to get off the sofa for this one as it won’t be on TV.
The bust up between the brother’s has been one of the most high-profile band breaks of all time, causing shockwaves across their fanbase and the world’s media. Having spoken about it for some time in the media, it seemed unlikely to ever happen, but Noel’s reported £20M divorce may well have been the catalyst the brothers needed to stop looking back in anger.
Tickets will be in hot demand so make sure you sign up to the presale and get your alarms set for 9am Saturday morning – good luck!
