this week's top records features Sea Girls

Almost three months into 2024, and it’s safe to say it’s been a memorable one already for music with the likes of Liam Gallagher, Skepta and Dua Lipa creating waves. But they’re old news now, it’s all about this week’s hottest tracks and here are five of this week’s top records.

First up, we have Interplanetary Criminal who has released an out of this world track called Races. This one is a little different from B.O.T.A. that made him go viral back in lockdown. The new one is heavy on the bass and features London rapper Blanco, definitely a weekend vibe.

Next up we have another London artist, this time indie band Sea Girls who have gained a cult following, rewarding them with their own European tour this year.  Their new track is called Midnight Butterflies, and is definitely worth a stream this weekend.

Kenya Grace is another artist that went viral thanks to TikTok, her release Strangers from last year is currently sitting on a whopping 644 million streams on Spotify. She is back with a new album called The After Taste, and our pick of the tracks is Someone Else.

Khruangbin released a track back in 2020 called Texas Sun, and it’s just one of those that you can’t not love. They have now just released our favourite song of theirs since Texas Sun, with Pon Pón, its clear they’re getting in the summer spirit. Expect to hear this at beach bars on holiday this summer, the definition of an easy listener.

Finally, we have Humble The Great. His music shows a remarkable resemblance to Frank Ocean, which is clear as day in his new track ‘ordinary love’. Get his new album ‘every night was the same’ playing through your speakers this Sunday and thank us later.
