As Storm Ciaran approaches, Manchester is preparing for a wet weekend. Luckily you won’t be bored indoors as a whole host of new music has been released to keep you entertained, including an unexpected Beatles track, a gritty rap tune from Aitch and a feel-good Sammy Virji release.
First up is that unexpected release from The Beatles. Now and Then uses John Lennon’s vocals from a cassette passed to Paul McCartney by Yoko Ono in 1994, with AI technology finally being at a stage to enhance his voice. Whilst new parts were recorded by Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney to complete the song. Definitely worth a listen as we fully say goodbye to an iconic band.
Aitch has been the feature artist on a lot of other artist’s songs this year, but Landslide is his new tune. A gritty grime tune that is definitely one to add to your playlist.
Sammy Virji is someone people haven’t stopped talking about since his showstopping UK Garage and Bassline set for DJ Mag in Summer. His new song is called If U Need It, and to be honest we haven’t heard a song that gets us this weekend ready in a while. A must play at pre-drinks before hitting town tonight!
Slowing down the tempo now with Jamie Webster, known for having his guitar attached to his hip and Looking Good is no different. This time joined by lots of saxophone making it into the perfect feel-good song for the weekend.
LF System, producers of one of the most popular dance songs of recent time in Afraid To Feel, are back with a song called In My Head. In My Head also features Paul Woolford and Shayan, and is another anthem made for the weekend.
