We’re less than one week out from the Union launch party that celebrates the best of Manchester, featuring some of the most successful acts to come out of the city. Everything Everything, IAMDDB and Murkage Dave have been hitting the charts for years, and here are the top tunes to look out for next week.

Everything Everything have top 10 albums, Mercury prize nominations and even a new album on the way on the 1 March. So, it’s safe to say their set will be one to remember. Distant Past is the most recognisable and even more so with those playing Fifa 16, racking up 27 million listens on Spotify should say it all about this one, it’s a banger.

A more recent tune of theirs is Cold Reactor, a main stay on prime-time radio over the past few months, it’s as catchy as it gets for EE and we’re excited to see it live.

IAMDDB shot to fame with ‘Shade’ back in 2017 and has not left the limelight since. This one is a fan favourite that will have the crowd moving next week at the Union launch.

A tune that is a close second to Shade for us, is her latest track made with the multi-talented Masego. Rasta Pasta is its name, and you best believe this one will be memorable.

The final headliner of the launch event is Murkage Dave. Known across Manchester for running legendary club night Monday Night Murkage at South back in the day. He has since expanded as a solo artist supporting the likes of The Streets on tour. Our picks of best songs are ‘Murkage Dave Changed My Life’ a perfect view into his vocal range.

The one we are most looking forward to is Every Country which is the song he made with Birmingham rapper Jaykae. Whilst ‘Put You On My Shoulders’ has a classic garage note to it, and definitely one that’ll be a standout from the Union launch.
