Who run the world!? GIRLS! Female solo artists lead the way in this week’s sounds of the week

This week has been a great one for new music, and it shows when acts like Calvin Harris, Bryson Tiller and Paloma Faith miss out on our favourites’ list which this week features tracks from Beyonce, Dua Lipa and Arianna Grande.

Dua Lipa is undoubtedly one of the biggest artists in the world right now, and it shows with her inclusion on British Vogue’s recent cover. She is back with a new record that seamlessly combines pop and dance music, expect it to be blasting in every gym across the country as it’s called Training Season.

One that we included a few weeks back is Arianna Grande’s ‘Yes, And?’. We just had to include it again as the new version is even better than the last, featuring the one and only Mariah Carey. This will definitely bring the vibes ahead of the weekend.

Continuing the trend of bangers from female solo artists, Beyonce up next. A bit of a different breakaway from Beyonce’s usual twerk inducing RnB as she jumps on the Country trend ffor Texas Hold Em.

Dan Whitlam just played a sell-out show at YES, and even brought his dad out to give a rendition of Billy Joel. He is marking his first tour with a new track, Paper People was debuted at YES on Tuesday, and is definitely worth a listen.

Finally, one of the most recognisable sounds in the house music world, Four Tet is back with his first release of 2024 with Daydream Repeat. A euphoric house tune perfect to play on those lazy weekends.
