Here at Union, we really know how to host. And earlier this month, we finally had the chance to flaunt it.
We collaborated with Girls in the City to treat three lucky winners to the ultimate Manchester weekend. Picture two days of great people, good places, and gorgeous vibes, all in the centre of town.

Here’s what our lucky Girls In The City winners got up to.
Spoiler alert: it was an absolute belter.
Saturday
3pm – Arrival at Union
Our front desk team was buzzing to meet the three winners, to say the least. We greeted them at the door, and got them settled into their Quad apartment right away.
“From the minute we walked in, I felt so welcome. My fob wasn’t working but the staff changed it right away.”
4pm – Chill time
Our winners took some down time to enjoy their Quad apartment, bang some tunes, and freshen up for the night ahead. We even had a couple of cocktails waiting for them. Never say we don’t know how to spoil our guests.
5:30pm – Pres @ BASE
What’s a night out without a pre-drink in BASE? Our winners headed downstairs and enjoy a drink, on us.
The girls sipped their cocktails on the terrace, and enjoyed the glorious views of Manchester’s sun-soaked skyline.
“BASE was great. The outdoor seating is a lovely touch and offers really nice views and picture opportunities.”
7:00pm – Dinner @ House of Social
After a little pre-game, the girls headed over to Manchester’s favourite food hall, House of Social. It was an evening of unreal food, incredible drinks and live music to set the weekend vibe.
9:00pm – Fun time
Maybe it was a movie night. Maybe it was one more drink. Maybe it was a midnight Maccies.
We let our winners spend the rest of their Manchester evening however they wanted to. You might be able to guess which way it went…
Sunday
10:00am – Breakfast at Mollie’s
Heads may have been a little sore but that’s nothing that our girl Mollie can’t cure. Our winners enjoyed a delicious brunch at Manchester’s new diner-style restaurant.
Sweet and savoury. Coffee and tea. It was the full spread.
“There was nothing missing from the apartment. The room was really spacious, with lots of counter space and insane views.”
11:00am – Meet Up @ BASE
The girls headed back down to BASE to grab a matcha before meeting the lovely Girl in the City crew.
“We saw signs for drag music bingo and we were so sad to miss it! If we lived in Union, we’d use BASE so much.”
11:30am – Girls In The City Walk
After a quick caffeine kick, it was time for a hot girl walk. The girls spent an hour stretching their legs, making new friends, and taking in the best of sunny Manchester.
12:30pm – Goodbye
Time really does fly when you’re having fun. We were sad to see our winners go. Don’t forget about us, pls.
